BRUNSWICK COUNTY 2015 LINCOLN REAGAN DINNER

The annual Lincoln Reagan Dinner was held on August 27 at 101 Stone Chimney Road in Supply, NC, and was very well attended.  Representative Frank Iler and Congressman David Rouzer spoke at the dinner, and Senator Thom Tillis was the keynote speaker.  All proceeds from the event support the Brunswick County Republican Party and the 2016 Republican candidates.  The evening’s host was Joe Agovino, Brunswick County GOP Chairman.  Shown below are attendees who sat at the Brunswick County Republican Women’s table, which was a Platinum Sponsor.   Left to right are Mickey and David Marino, George and Joan Mangelsdorf, Brenda and Jim Passiales, and Judy and Dick Calgaro.

BCRW MEMBERSHIP MEETING ON SEP 3 AT GOP HEADQUARTERS

Join us on September 3, 2015, for our next BCRW Monthly Membership Meeting from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.  It will be held at GOP Headquarters, 971 Old Ocean Highway, Bolivia.  Light refreshments will be served.

We will have two guest speakers.  First is Heather Grant, a candidate for North Carolina Insurance Commissioner.  Many of you will remember Heather from last year when she ran in the primary for U.S. Senator.  While she did not win, she set the example for party unity when she endorsed our now Senator Thom Tillis and effectively campaigned for him across the state.  Heather will discuss her candidacy and vision for insurance in North Carolina.  (As you know, BCRW does not endorse any candidates prior to the primary, and we look forward to inviting other Republican candidates for this position and others who will be running in 2016 to future club meetings.)

We will also have the staff from the Brunswick County Board of Elections, who will  bring us up to date on the current election laws and how they will affect the municipal elections on November 3, as well as the primaries and general elections in 2016.  This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions and to consider signing up to work inside the polls.  Just an FYI regarding the municipal elections, we are inviting all the Republican candidates to our October 1st meeting.

We hope to see you at our meeting.  Bring a guest, a spouse, or a future BCRW member!
