All members are invited to attend the Club’s Executive Board Meeting on Thursday, October 17th, 12:30 pm, BCGOP HQ, 971 Old Ocean Hwy, Bolivia. The meeting should finish by about 2 pm. President Lawler will be giving a PowerPoint presentation on Leadership Development. Please bring your own brown bag lunch and join us.
BCRW is collecting items for Grand Strand Blue Star Mothers. Blue Star Mothers make up boxes to send to our active duty troops. The Club’s November 7th meeting will be our last chance to collect for Christmas Packages for the Troops this year. Collections will be shipped soon after our meeting. Bolivia, NC – On October 3, 2013, Brunswick County Republican Women elected two new officers for 2014-2015. Helen Pannullo of Ocean Isle Beach was elected President. Helen also serves as Vice-President for the Coastal Region of the North Carolina Federation of Republican Women. Sharon Spaulding of Shallotte was elected Secretary. The vote to approve the nominations was unanimous. The officers will serve for a term of two years. Both women expressed gratitude and a willingness to serve. They will join Vice President Mary Stilwell and Treasurer Colleen Combs who are midway through their two-year terms. The current president and secretary, Kathy Lawler and Sonja Conger, are leaving office after having served three-year terms. A ceremony to install the two new officers will be held at the Club’s Christmas Party on December 5th, 2013.

The Virginia Governor’s race is taking place in November. Our Republican candidate is Ken Cuccinelli. He is an outstanding man who is currently serving as Attorney General for Virginia. The race has tightened up in the last few weeks. The polls are close. The race is now a toss up. Cuccinelli needs our help.
